Prepare a Product CSV for Shopify Import
Prepare product columns for Shopify import when your source file comes from WooCommerce or another storefront.
Preparing a Shopify product CSV is mainly about matching Shopify’s field meanings, not just changing a filename or delimiter.
Map the fields you can prove
Rename direct equivalents first: product name, description, tags/categories, publication state, SKU, type, and price. Keep unfamiliar source columns until you decide whether they belong in Shopify or should be dropped.
Check fields that need new values
Shopify may need values that do not exist as ready-made columns in your source export. Handle, Vendor, option columns, weights, images, and inventory behavior deserve explicit review.
Validate before import
Open the mapped CSV, confirm header uniqueness and row alignment, then compare it with Shopify’s current template. Header mapping does not validate every product relationship or store-specific rule.
The Nablyx mapper runs locally in your browser up to 200 MB.
